Natural wood FLOOR oil
Floor oil is used for finishing wooden floors, parquet, staircase and wooden furniture. It is a composition made of natural linseed oil along with natural pine and other natural resin, waxes and special additives. Linseed oil absorbs deeply into wood, impregnating it and protecting from moisture while the waxes form a protecting layer on the surface that resist moisture and dirt. Floor oil brings out wood grain and forms a silky matted gloss and improves the wear resistance of the floor.
Preparation of the surface: Before oiling the floor is sanded and buffed with special equipment. The surface of the floor must be dry, free of dust, grease, oils and waxes.
Spreading: Oil must be mixed well, its temperature must be +20 ºC but the temperature of the floor must be in limits of +15 – 25 ºC. Oil is applied on the surface of the floor and smoothed out with a special applicator or flat brush. Oil must be applied in a thin layer and let to absorb for 20 – 30 min. Afterwards oil is worked in with the polisher using the white disc. Such a process ensures even application of oil and improves absorption into the wood. Dry for 6 – 8 hours, afterwards similarly spread the second layer of oil. The oil that is left on the wooden surface and has not absorbed must not be left and allowed to become hard.
Time of drying: Depending on the temperature and air moisture oil dries fully in 2 – 3 days.
Coverage: Coverage of oil depends on the absorbing abilities of a specific wood: for pine 10 – 14 m²/l, for oak 16 – 20 m²/l.
Cleaning: Tools are cleaned with white-spirit, warm water and soap.
Storage: Keep in a cool place. In a closed package the storage period is shown on marking.
Composition: Specially prepared natural linseed oil, natural pine and other natural resin, waxes, special additions.
Safety: The product is flammable. Pieces of cloth saturated with oil can self ignite before they are disposed.
